The league is looking for "worthy candidates" who would be willing to host the 2011 All-Star Game. There are only two main criteria: - The team may not have hosted the past 10 ASGs (Montreal, Atlanta, Dallas, Minnesota, Florida, LA [This does not stop Anaheim from bidding if they wish], Colorado, Toronto, Tampa and Vancouver).
- Additionally, as host of the Winter Classic, Washington is ineligible as well.
Feel free to make your team's case here.

Anaheim formerly requests the honor of being able to host the ASG. Anaheim is the only team to never host an ASG or draft. I'm sure the players will not mind a weekend in sunny socal, they can take their families to disneyland, the beach...it would be more like a vacation than any other city available through the nhl.

I was going to say Buffalo should get it but I agree with ducks6607. Anaheim has never hosted the draft,ASG, or WC. So my vote goes to Anaheim

Anaheim is the only team to never host an ASG or draft. Not to tear apart your case, but neither has Phoenix (Including their time as Winnipeg).

Ottawa for the ASG What could be better for one of the leagues greatest captains than to play the ASG at home

Since we'll keep the vote to 5 teams, there is one more slot open.

Gotta throw Phoenix's hat into the ring, build off the success of this past season crucial for the market

But Phoenix is hosting the next draft. Anaheim hasn't hosted either event. I don't see why Phoenix would get it. Then Anaheim would HAVE to get the draft.

No, LA has it this year, Minnesota gets it in 2011.
