As reported by the Edmonton Sun earlier today, the Edmonton Oilers have signed Jaromir Jagr to a 2 year/$4 million deal with performance bonuses. Oilers GM puckguy11: "As his time in the KHL has shown, Jaromir is still a top hockey player. He's expressed a long standing interest in making his NHL comeback in Edmonton, and we are also excited to have him mentor the younger players on our squad."

Rounding out the Oilers' European signings, the Oilers signed Czech center Roman Cervenka from HC Slava Praka. GM puckguy11: "We had been in talks with Roman before Jaromir came to us. Once Jaromir, his teammate from this year's Olympic team, signed, he knew that he wanted to come to Edmonton as well."
