Actually I just noticed that too. I don't think we are allowed to trade UFA's Therefore I assume this trade Is not possible

There's nothing wrong with the trade, I'm just saying Lalime will need to be re-signed, that's all.

The trade is fine Value wise But Buffalo does not own Lalime's rights therefore they arent allowed to trade his rights
This trade is
To NYI 3rd rnd pick
To Buffalo Rolosson
And Lalime stays on the free agent list until the Mods tell Us how to deal with UFA's

But we would assume that Buffalo still owns Lalime's FA rights or NYI in this case, the mods have to determine that.

OK you guys need to post your rules Because this is Not legal in any way. If we are playing this sim as if this years Playoffs are over. Then No One owns Lalime's rights. Therefore he can't leagally be used in any trade. Lalime Is at the Age in the League rules where he has the right to choose the team he signs with, If buffalo wanted to trade him this offseason they would have had to of signed him before the playoffs started. They didn't .And until you guys figure out a way to do free agency signings in a fair and efficent way then this trade is an impossibility Im not trying to argue here but This is strange that the mods are OK with this.

Pretty much it's that the Islander's GM has an exclusive period in which he can re-sign Lalime, however, if an agreement is not reached between the two sides before the Free Agency period hits, then that player can sign with any team.
